16 and Pregnant...

MTV is returning with its second season of 16 and Pregnant next Tuesday! The show is following the lives of 10 girls who are pregnant and in high school. It seems that finding girls willing to broadcast their lives on a reality TV show is becoming easier and easier. Season 1 followed six girls and the show Teen Mom continued to show four of the teens during their first year as moms. Tonight MTV will be airing a special UNSEEN moments episode of Teen Moms. I will post my opinions later.

Shear Genius and Kell On Earth

Bravo featured several new reality tv shows this week that I am very excited about. Shear Genius, a competition for hairstylists, and Kell On Earth, a look inside Peoples Revolution, the top PR firm in NYC.

Shear Genius returns for its' third season with lots of new changes and some new interesting personalities. The contestants include an attractive Aussie and even a chick who cuts hair in roller skates. The cosmotologist had to turn punky hair into a polished cut and in the elimination challenge they had to style hair for a topless runway show. I think that the new contestants should provide enough entertainment and drama to keep me watching for atleast another couple weeks. Reality Rating: 9.... Each contestant is an actual licensed hairstylist (or so the models hope)

Kell On Earth is Bravo's newest addition to the collection of reality tv shows. Kelly Cutrone and her employees have allowed camera's to capture melt downs, make ups, and complete screw ups. The first episode introduced us to Kelly's punk/goth assistant, who wowed audiences in a long sequin gown at a fashion show during New York's fasion week (I must add the assistant is a man). We also witnessed a melt down of the staff when the printers broke... we all now have to wait until next week to see if People's Revolution will survive this disaster or if they will lose a client. Reality Rating: 6.... I'm sure super anal and crazy bosses exsist but Kelly is a psycho woman.

The Beginning...

I am college student who lives for reality tv. I watch a variety of shows about a variety of different so called "realities". Although I personally do not believe I will ever be a Top Chef, Real Housewife, or a Survivor... we all can dream right? I have started this blog to discuss my favorite reality tv shows and stars and my opinions about them. I will be diligently watching as many reality tv shows as possible no matter how painful or ridiculous they might be. At the end of each shows season I will decide on a scale of 1-10 how real the "reality" show is. (1 being real and 10 being really ridiculous)
