The Soup

To end my blog I thought I would choose a show that talks about all of the reality shows. The Soup, airs every Sunday night at 11. Joel McHale is the hillarious host who pokes fun at all of the reality tv shows and stars.

Biggest Loser- Makeovers

Biggest Loser is easily one of my favorite reality tv shows to watch. As the season progresses viewers become emotionally involved with the contestants lives and cheer on their favorites to win. My favorite time in the season is the makeover time. I always find myself balling in front of the TV so excited for these complete strangers. They not only have lost a significant amount of weight, but they were able to build a support system away from there family during a hard time. I am truly amazed by some of these peoples before and after pictures.

Food Network

The only thing I enjoy more than good reality TV shows are tv shows about food. I am a very big fan of food network. Lucky for me they have their own collect of reality tv shows.

Food Network Challenge is a competitive cooking show that pits professionals against each other. They must complete the tasks in the amount of time specified. The winner of each challenge wins $10,000 in cash and a gold medal.

Some of the challenges on past shows have been surprise wedding cakes, birthday cakes, pastries, chocolate, and pizza. There have also been crazy challenges such as edible mansions, cereal skylines, and the spam cook-off. There have been different categories such as best barbecue, great chowder, and the chili bowl. The show has even had cook-offs for teens and kids.

Throwdown with Bobby Flay Chef Bobby Flay is known for his cooking expertise, but that does not mean he is the best at cooking everything. In "Throwdown with Bobby Flay," he goes around the country looking for the best cook in a category - best barbecuers, best pizzamakers, best wingmakers, etc.

Once he finds someone, he has a surprise visit and challenges him or her to a cook-off. While Bobby is a master chef, the person he challenges is in his or her home environment, so the cook-off usually proves to be taxing and exciting.

Finally my favoite,
The Next Food Network Star There have been three seasons of "The Next Food Network Star," the show that looks for the next big culinary name to host his or her own show on the network.

Season one was won by Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh. They hosted the show "Party Line with the Hearty Boys" that ran from 2005 to 2006. Season two was won by Guy Fieri. His first series on the Food Network was titled "Guy's Big Bite," but he also recently began his second series "Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives." The winner of season three was Amy Finley. She had originally been eliminated in third place, but when finalist Joshua Adam "Jag" Garcia had to withdraw; Amy was brought back to go against Rory Schepisi in the finale. Amy's show, "The Gourmet Next Door" premiered on the Food Network on October 14, 2007.

Welcome to New Jersey!

BRAVO aired the new season of
The Real Housewives of New Jersey and it was perfect timing for me take a much needed study break. The women of New Jersey all had new and exciting things going on in their life. Jacqueline Laurita , welcomed her third child in to the world, while Teresa Giudice , prepares to give birth to her fourth child. Out of all of The Real Housewives I find New Jersey to be the most entertaining. The hair and the drama are just bigger in Jersey.

Pam Anderson Voted Off DWTS

On this weeks episode of ABC's Dancing With the Stars Pamela Anderson was voted off. With her departure and with the bottom two being made up of two of the best looking women on the show, I can't help but wonder how many more women than men actually vote. I know that many reality shows especially those based on dance, are geared more towards female viewers but it has become more and more obvious that either women don't want their husbands watching attractive females barely dressed, or that they really think the male contestants are better dancers. At this rate, Erin Andrews will be voted off next week. I can only hope that the dancers are judged more so on their moves than there looks.

A Face Not Even a Mother Could Love

MTV's The Hills is back for their final season. The season premiere came with many surprises including star, Heidi Montag's new face. Montag traveled home to Colorado during the premiere to visit her family who had no clue how serious her obsession with plastic surgery was. Montags family was as surprised as the viewers when Heidi began describing her 10 plus surgeries including a mini brow lift, botox in forehead and frown area, nose job revision,
fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips, chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, breast augmentation revision, liposuction on waist, hips, outer and inner thighs, and a buttock augmentation. Seeing Heidi's new face and body last Monday allowed me to finally realize the crazy things people will do to be famous.

Celebrity Apprentice: The Final 6

Donald Trump greeted the celebrities tonight with a special guest, his other son, Eric Trump on Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. Then he gave the teams their task: each team must create not one, not two, but three 30 second radio commercials that they must perform live for the executives. The winning project manager would not only get $20k from Donald Trump, but an additional $20k from the company executives for their charity. With this tough task, Tenacity chooses to let Summer lead their team this week, while Rocksolid goes with Bret Michaels for project manager.

The team of Rocksolid seems to have it all together on Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. With no bickering or drama, these three just have fun and get the job done. Bret, decides against the ladies will that he is going to use a joke about a “plumber’s crack” in one of the radio commercials, despite the executives request not to. It’s a bit risky, but we all know that Bret is all for taking risks. While they did not have any drama, Sharon and Bret did get stuck dealing with Maria’s ridiculous singing that she would just not stop doing no matter what they said. Finally, after Maria quieted down, they decided to take another risk as well and go with some sexy music in another one of their commercials. Will the risks pay off for Rocksolid? That’ll be up to the executives to decide

American Idol: Down to Six

Crystal Bowersox Crystal Bowerox put her boyfriend in the spotlight during Tuesday night's American Idol performance show!

The Idol favorite performed Shania Twain's marriage-themed song "Noone Needs to Know," which was meant to send a message to her current boyfriend.

"This song is a message to my boyfriend," Crystal said. "I'm just dropping hints here and there. He'll man up one of these days." Crystal's boyfriend happened to be sitting in the audience at the time, wearing a t-shirt in support of his newly famous girlfriend.

Dancing With the Stars Dumps the Bachelor

America has dumped the Bachelor. The Dancing with the Stars elimination for April 27 resulted in Jake Pavelka hitting the road, likely ending the airline pilot's eventful reality TV career on ABC.

While bearing his spray-tanned chest in an open shirt that Jimmy Kimmel later made fun of, Jake choked up as he thanked his partner Chelsie Hightower. "You're one of my best friends," he said. "I have loved every second of this." Jake also gave a shout out to his fiance Vienna Girardi, who was sitting in the audience.

Jake first competed on The Bachelorette. Then, he bacame the Bachelor. And after he handed out his final rose to Vienna , he was chosen to compete on Dancing with the Stars. Do you think Jake should get another reality show now that his Dancing days are over? Or do you think Jake's 15 minutes is up? Let me know in the comments!
